Bonazuki

Curved color planes, warm light and optimism about the future, made into illuminated physical works.

Color, light and physical depth

Bonazuki combines flowing, curved planes with warm color. The original collection text connects those forms to optimism about the future and new technologies. The image becomes a physical object: an electrically lit work whose layered construction changes how its color and depth are experienced.

Steven introduced Bonazuki Collection #1 as a planned group of twenty unique works. The original release page listed a 2-foot-square, 2.5-inch-deep format with electrical illumination. Those historical specifications describe that proposed format; the selected images show compositions, details and a presentation mockup. The layered image is intended to become a physical encounter in the room.

From the screen to the room

The surviving moving study shows the planes and shifting color. The physical works add light and layering to that composition. Photographs and video introduce the design, while Stereo Layering describes the in-person depth effect.

The first Bonazuki collection

The original release page described a planned collection of twenty works. This is its introduction, rather than a count of completed pieces.

A total of 20 in the collection will be imagined and brought to life

This example artwork was the first of the Bonazuki Collection. Marked as the premiere of Steven's Bonazuki style, this collection is made up of 20 unique extraordinary masterworks. The curved planes of color and rich warm tones represent the upward optimism in the future of new technologies.
